How to view FON file?

Sometimes you just need to see what is in the FON file, without having to perform more complicated operations. In this case, it is enough that you use the so-called FON Viewer. Such a program allows us only to display the contents of the FON file. To view the content of the FON file you can use several options:

Software programs supporting files with FON extension

Our FON Viewer did not live up to what I expected? Choose something else One of them is to use software that works with the FON file. You can try to open your FON file with one of these applications. By choosing the option to install dedicated software, you will also be able to e.g. edit the FON file and sometimes even convert the FON file.

Advantages and disadvantages of this solution

The first important thing is that you will need to download and install a dedicated application that supports the FON format on your device. In this case, it is not possible to view the FON file online. This solution is more problematic, but also allows for more processing options for the FON file. Below you will find a list of example applications that are dedicated to working with the FON file - for the full list go to FON File Opener

Other ways to view the FON file

If you still cannot see the contents of the FON file, but also don't see the need to install dedicated software, then there are other solutions. A lot of file formats contain plain text data or packed data. If this is the case, you can try to preview the contents of FON file with "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the FON file to some extent.

As in the case of Notepad, you can also use the data archiving program. Check if you can open your file with eg Winrar. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the FON file extension.
