To edit J3D file, we strongly recommend installing software that works with J3D files. There are many tools known as J3D Online Editors, but it is not certain that they operate in a way that keeps the data contained in the file safe.

This is the best way. Choose one of the programs that support the J3D file extension, open your file and check the editing options. You will avoid the danger of virus installation if you download the software from the software developer 's website. Most of the file formats are simply text format saved under a different extension - so you can open them e.g. with Windows Notepad However, such manual editing of the J3D file or any other file may result in damage to the file. After saving the changes, it may not be possible to reopen the J3D file. By far the safest way is to use file editing programs that works with the J3D extension.
