To edit JSM file, we strongly recommend installing software that works with JSM files. There are many tools known as JSM Online Editors, but it is not certain that they operate in a way that keeps the data contained in the file safe.

Definitely the best solution. Try to open the JSM file with one of the programs and it will see if you can edit the JSM file. The most proven method is to download the installer from the developer's website. You can find direct links to the creators' websites on the subpages of each application. Most of the file formats are simply text format saved under a different extension - so you can open them e.g. with Windows Notepad However, it's dangerous, you can permanently damage your JSM file.
