If you want to edit RI file and not damage it, you should install dedicated software Using tools such as RI Online Editors gives less editing possibilities than software adapted to work with the RI file format.
The installation of the program that supports the RI file does not guarantee that the file can be edited. Additional information about the RI file extension can be found here.
This is definitely the surest way. Use any of the programs that support the RI file to check if it allows you to edit the file. The most proven method is to download the installer from the developer's website. You can find direct links to the creators' websites on the subpages of each application. Most of the file formats are simply text format saved under a different extension - so you can open them e.g. with Windows Notepad But beware - making manual changes to the RI file or another may result in its damage. If you make inappropriate changes and save the file, it may happen that you do not reopen the RI file.. By far the safest way is to use file editing programs that works with the RI extension.
