How to view CDS file?

Sometimes you just need to see what is in the CDS file, without having to perform more complicated operations. In this case, it is enough that you use the so-called CDS Viewer. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the CDS file. To view the content of the CDS file, select one of the available options:

Software programs supporting files with CDS extension

CDS viewer did not handle your file? Take advantage of other options One of them is to use software that works with the CDS file. Below are some examples of verified applications. By using the dedicated software you will have more options, e.g. editing the CDS file or converting the CDS file to a different file format.

What are the pros and cons of such a solution?

The first important thing is that you will need to download and install a dedicated application that supports the CDS format on your device. In this case, it is not possible to view the CDS file online. Here you will need more time to use this solution, but you will also have more options. You can find some examples of dedicated software below, and the full list is here CDS File Opener

Other ways to view the CDS file

If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the CDS file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. A large proportion of the data formats are simply archives or plain text files. In this case, it is likely that you will be able to view the contents of CDS with a normal "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension CDS.

The second attempt may be with a data archiving program. Check if you can open your file with eg Winrar. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the CDS file extension.
