There are times when you only need to display the contents of the DSS file. Then do not install dedicated software and use tools such as DSS Viewer. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the DSS file. You have several options to view the contents of the DSS file:
Our DSS Viewer did not live up to what I expected? Choose something else One of them is to use software that works with the DSS file. Here are some sample programs that can help you. By using the dedicated software you will have more options, e.g. editing the DSS file or converting the DSS file to a different file format.
The first important thing is that you will need to download and install a dedicated application that supports the DSS format on your device. In this situation, unfortunately, you cannot see the DSS file online. This solution is more problematic, but also allows for more processing options for the DSS file. Below you will find a list of example applications that are dedicated to working with the DSS file - for the full list go to DSS File Opener
If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the DSS file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. Many file types are simply text files or data archives. In this case, it is likely that you will be able to view the contents of DSS with a normal "Notepad". This solution does not guarantee that the problem will be solved, but it will often allow you to view the data in the DSS file to some extent.
The second way is to use a data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If your DSS file belongs to the archived files category, you will see a list of files inside the archive. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the DSS file extension.
