There are times when you only need to display the contents of the DXT5 file. Then the tools called DXT5 Viewer come in handy. If this is the case, you can try to preview the contents of DXT5 file with "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension DXT5.
The second attempt may be with a data archiving program. Open Winrar or Winzip and try to unpack your file. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. Go to the information page about the DXT5 file extension. to see what kind of data it contains.
