How to view HEVC file?

Sometimes you just need to see what is in the HEVC file, without having to perform more complicated operations. In this case, it is enough that you use the so-called HEVC Viewer. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the HEVC file. To view the content of the HEVC file, select one of the available options:

Software supporting HEVC files

HEVC viewer did not handle your file? Take advantage of other options One of them is to use software that works with the HEVC file. You can try to open your HEVC file with one of these applications. By using the dedicated software you will have more options, e.g. editing the HEVC file or converting the HEVC file to a different file format.

Advantages and disadvantages of this solution

Note, however, that this solution requires you to download and install the software dedicated to handling the HEVC file on your device. Unfortunately, it is not possible to see the HEVC file online in this case. This method is more complicated, but it offers more possibilities for working with the HEVC file. Below you will find a list of example applications that are dedicated to working with the HEVC file - for the full list go to HEVC File Opener

Other options

You haven't seen the content of your HEVC file yet and you don't need additional software? Try other options. A large proportion of the data formats are simply archives or plain text files. In this case, it is likely that you will be able to view the contents of HEVC with a normal "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the HEVC file to some extent.

The second way is to use a data archiving program. Open Winrar or Winzip and try to unpack your file. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the HEVC file extension.
