How to view ISO file?

It often happens that you only need to preview the contents of the ISO file, without the need to edit or process the data contained in it. Then do not install dedicated software and use tools such as ISO Viewer. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the ISO file. You have several options to view the contents of the ISO file:

Software supporting ISO files

Our ISO Viewer did not live up to what I expected? Choose something else For starters, we suggest installing software that supports ISO files Below are some examples of verified applications. By using the dedicated software you will have more options, e.g. editing the ISO file or converting the ISO file to a different file format.

Advantages and disadvantages of dedicated software

Note, however, that this solution requires you to download and install the software dedicated to handling the ISO file on your device. Unfortunately, it is not possible to see the ISO file online in this case. This solution is more problematic, but also allows for more processing options for the ISO file. Below you will find a list of example applications that are dedicated to working with the ISO file - for the full list go to ISO File Opener

Other options

If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the ISO file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. Many file types are simply text files or data archives. In this case, it is likely that you will be able to view the contents of ISO with a normal "Notepad". This solution does not guarantee that the problem will be solved, but it will often allow you to view the data in the ISO file to some extent.

As in the case of Notepad, you can also use the data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If our theory proves to be correct, you should see the tree of files contained in the archive. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the ISO file extension.
