This method is more complicated, but it offers more possibilities for working with the MOM file. If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the MOM file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. A large proportion of the data formats are simply archives or plain text files. In this case, it is likely that you will be able to view the contents of MOM with a normal "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the MOM file to some extent.

As in the case of Notepad, you can also use the data archiving program. Open Winrar or Winzip and try to unpack your file. If your MOM file belongs to the archived files category, you will see a list of files inside the archive.
