How to view PFILE file?

It often happens that you only need to preview the contents of the PFILE file, without the need to edit or process the data contained in it. Then the tools called PFILE Viewer come in handy. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the PFILE file. To view the content of the PFILE file, select one of the available options:

Software supporting PFILE files

If our PFILE Viewer Online did not help you, you have a few more options. One of them is to use software that works with the PFILE file. You can try to open your PFILE file with one of these applications. By using the dedicated software you will have more options, e.g. editing the PFILE file or converting the PFILE file to a different file format.

What are the pros and cons of such a solution?

Note, however, that this solution requires you to download and install the software dedicated to handling the PFILE file on your device. In this situation, unfortunately, you cannot see the PFILE file online. Here you will need more time to use this solution, but you will also have more options. You can find some examples of dedicated software below, and the full list is here PFILE File Opener

Other ways to view the PFILE file

You haven't seen the content of your PFILE file yet and you don't need additional software? Try other options. A large proportion of the data formats are simply archives or plain text files. In this case, it is likely that you will be able to view the contents of PFILE with a normal "Notepad". This solution does not guarantee that the problem will be solved, but it will often allow you to view the data in the PFILE file to some extent.

The second way is to use a data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If your PFILE file belongs to the archived files category, you will see a list of files inside the archive. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the PFILE file extension.
