Sometimes you just need to see what is in the PKG file, without having to perform more complicated operations. In this case, it is enough that you use the so-called PKG Viewer. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the PKG file. To view the content of the PKG file, select one of the available options:

Note, however, that this solution requires you to download and install the software dedicated to handling the PKG file on your device. In this case, it is not possible to view the PKG file online. If you still cannot see the contents of the PKG file, but also don't see the need to install dedicated software, then there are other solutions. A lot of file formats contain plain text data or packed data. In this case, you can try to open your PKG file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension PKG.
The second way is to use a data archiving program. Open Winrar or Winzip and try to unpack your file. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. Go to the information page about the PKG file extension. to see what kind of data it contains.
