It often happens that you only need to preview the contents of the RUM file, without the need to edit or process the data contained in it. Then do not install dedicated software and use tools such as RUM Viewer. Such a program allows us only to display the contents of the RUM file. To view the content of the RUM file you can use several options:
If our RUM Viewer Online did not help you, you have a few more options. One of them is to use software that works with the RUM file. You can try to open your RUM file with one of these applications. By choosing the option to install dedicated software, you will also be able to e.g. edit the RUM file and sometimes even convert the RUM file.
First of all, you need to know that you need to install specific software that supports RUM files on your computer. In this situation, unfortunately, you cannot see the RUM file online. This solution is more problematic, but also allows for more processing options for the RUM file. Below you will find a list of example applications that are dedicated to working with the RUM file - for the full list go to RUM File Opener
You haven't seen the content of your RUM file yet and you don't need additional software? Try other options. A lot of file formats contain plain text data or packed data. In this case, you can try to open your RUM file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension RUM.
The second attempt may be with a data archiving program. Open Winrar or Winzip and try to unpack your file. If our theory proves to be correct, you should see the tree of files contained in the archive. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the RUM file extension.
