Sometimes you just need to see what is in the XAP file, without having to perform more complicated operations. In this case, it is enough that you use the so-called XAP Viewer. XAP viewer is some kind of simple tool that only allows you to view the contents of the XAP file. To view the content of the XAP file you can use several options:
XAP viewer did not handle your file? Take advantage of other options One of them is to use software that works with the XAP file. You can try to open your XAP file with one of these applications. If you choose to install software that supports XAP, you will have additional oppositions, such as converting the XAP file or editing the XAP file.
The first important thing is that you will need to download and install a dedicated application that supports the XAP format on your device. In this case, it is not possible to view the XAP file online. This method is more complicated, but it offers more possibilities for working with the XAP file. If you still cannot see the contents of the XAP file, but also don't see the need to install dedicated software, then there are other solutions. A lot of file formats contain plain text data or packed data. If this is the case, you can try to preview the contents of XAP file with "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension XAP.
The second attempt may be with a data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If your XAP file belongs to the archived files category, you will see a list of files inside the archive. If you don't know what type of XAP file is, learn more about XAP file extension.
