Other ways to view the XGS file

If you still cannot see the contents of the XGS file, but also don't see the need to install dedicated software, then there are other solutions. A lot of file formats contain plain text data or packed data. In this case, you can try to open your XGS file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the XGS file to some extent.
