Sometimes you just need to see what is in the XVM file, without having to perform more complicated operations. Then do not install dedicated software and use tools such as XVM Viewer. You haven't seen the content of your XVM file yet and you don't need additional software? Try other options. A lot of file formats contain plain text data or packed data. In this case, you can try to open your XVM file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the XVM file to some extent.
As in the case of Notepad, you can also use the data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. Go to the information page about the XVM file extension. to see what kind of data it contains.
