How to view ZAP file?

There are times when you only need to display the contents of the ZAP file. Then the tools called ZAP Viewer come in handy. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the ZAP file. You have several options to view the contents of the ZAP file:

Software programs supporting files with ZAP extension

ZAP viewer did not handle your file? Take advantage of other options For starters, we suggest installing software that supports ZAP files Here are some sample programs that can help you. By choosing the option to install dedicated software, you will also be able to e.g. edit the ZAP file and sometimes even convert the ZAP file.

Advantages and disadvantages of dedicated software

The first important thing is that you will need to download and install a dedicated application that supports the ZAP format on your device. Unfortunately, it is not possible to see the ZAP file online in this case. This method is more complicated, but it offers more possibilities for working with the ZAP file. You can find some examples of dedicated software below, and the full list is here ZAP File Opener

Other possibilities to view the contents of the ZAP file

If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the ZAP file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. Many file types are simply text files or data archives. In this case, you can try to open your ZAP file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension ZAP.

As in the case of Notepad, you can also use the data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If our theory proves to be correct, you should see the tree of files contained in the archive. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the ZAP file extension.
