To edit XDF file, we strongly recommend installing software that works with XDF files. There are many tools known as XDF Online Editors, but it is not certain that they operate in a way that keeps the data contained in the file safe.

Definitely the best solution. Choose one of the programs that support the XDF file extension, open your file and check the editing options. It's safest to download the software from the developer's website. You will find links to the software developers' websites on the subpage of each program. Most of the file formats are simply text format saved under a different extension - so you can open them e.g. with Windows Notepad However, such manual editing of the XDF file or any other file may result in damage to the file. After saving the changes, it may not be possible to reopen the XDF file. It is safest to use software that was created to edit files in the XDF format.
It seems that one of the software on the list must be able to edit the XDF files. However, if for some reason you did not find this option, you can try using tools prepared by external websites. Verified websites with the option to edit the file in the XDF format below.
