How to view ASS file?

There are times when you only need to display the contents of the ASS file. In this case, it is enough that you use the so-called ASS Viewer. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the ASS file. To view the content of the ASS file, select one of the available options:

Programs that support ASS file extension

Our ASS Viewer did not live up to what I expected? Choose something else One of them is to use software that works with the ASS file. Here are some sample programs that can help you. By choosing the option to install dedicated software, you will also be able to e.g. edit the ASS file and sometimes even convert the ASS file.

Advantages and disadvantages of dedicated software

Note, however, that this solution requires you to download and install the software dedicated to handling the ASS file on your device. In this situation, unfortunately, you cannot see the ASS file online. This method is more complicated, but it offers more possibilities for working with the ASS file. Below you will find a list of example applications that are dedicated to working with the ASS file - for the full list go to ASS File Opener

Other possibilities to view the contents of the ASS file

If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the ASS file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. A large proportion of the data formats are simply archives or plain text files. In this case, you can try to open your ASS file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the ASS file to some extent.

The second attempt may be with a data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. Go to the information page about the ASS file extension. to see what kind of data it contains.
