It often happens that you only need to preview the contents of the BIM file, without the need to edit or process the data contained in it. Then the tools called BIM Viewer come in handy. Such a program allows us only to display the contents of the BIM file. You have several options to view the contents of the BIM file:

First of all, you need to know that you need to install specific software that supports BIM files on your computer. Unfortunately, it is not possible to see the BIM file online in this case. This solution is more problematic, but also allows for more processing options for the BIM file. If you still cannot see the contents of the BIM file, but also don't see the need to install dedicated software, then there are other solutions. A lot of file formats contain plain text data or packed data. In this case, you can try to open your BIM file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the BIM file to some extent.
The second way is to use a data archiving program. Check if you can open your file with eg Winrar. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. If you don't know what type of BIM file is, learn more about BIM file extension.
