How to view EAR file?

There are times when you only need to display the contents of the EAR file. In this case, it is enough that you use the so-called EAR Viewer. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the EAR file. To view the content of the EAR file you can use several options:

Software supporting EAR files

EAR viewer did not handle your file? Take advantage of other options One of them is to use software that works with the EAR file. Below are some examples of verified applications. By choosing the option to install dedicated software, you will also be able to e.g. edit the EAR file and sometimes even convert the EAR file.

What are the pros and cons of such a solution?

Note, however, that this solution requires you to download and install the software dedicated to handling the EAR file on your device. In this case, it is not possible to view the EAR file online. This solution is more problematic, but also allows for more processing options for the EAR file. You can find some examples of dedicated software below, and the full list is here EAR File Opener

Other possibilities to view the contents of the EAR file

If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the EAR file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. A large proportion of the data formats are simply archives or plain text files. In this case, it is likely that you will be able to view the contents of EAR with a normal "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension EAR.

The second attempt may be with a data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If your EAR file belongs to the archived files category, you will see a list of files inside the archive. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the EAR file extension.
