If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the EAR file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. A large proportion of the data formats are simply archives or plain text files. In this case, it is likely that you will be able to view the contents of EAR with a normal "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension EAR.

The second attempt may be with a data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If your EAR file belongs to the archived files category, you will see a list of files inside the archive.
