How to view EFI file?

It often happens that you only need to preview the contents of the EFI file, without the need to edit or process the data contained in it. In this case, it is enough that you use the so-called EFI Viewer. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the EFI file. You have several options to view the contents of the EFI file:

Software programs supporting files with EFI extension

EFI viewer did not handle your file? Take advantage of other options For starters, we suggest installing software that supports EFI files Below are some examples of verified applications. By using the dedicated software you will have more options, e.g. editing the EFI file or converting the EFI file to a different file format.

Advantages and disadvantages of dedicated software

Note, however, that this solution requires you to download and install the software dedicated to handling the EFI file on your device. In this case, it is not possible to view the EFI file online. This method is more complicated, but it offers more possibilities for working with the EFI file. You can find some examples of dedicated software below, and the full list is here EFI File Opener

Other possibilities to view the contents of the EFI file

If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the EFI file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. Many file types are simply text files or data archives. If this is the case, you can try to preview the contents of EFI file with "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension EFI.

As in the case of Notepad, you can also use the data archiving program. Open Winrar or Winzip and try to unpack your file. If our theory proves to be correct, you should see the tree of files contained in the archive. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the EFI file extension.
