It often happens that you only need to preview the contents of the HPFS file, without the need to edit or process the data contained in it. Then do not install dedicated software and use tools such as HPFS Viewer. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the HPFS file. You have several options to view the contents of the HPFS file:

Note, however, that this solution requires you to download and install the software dedicated to handling the HPFS file on your device. If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the HPFS file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. A large proportion of the data formats are simply archives or plain text files. In this case, you can try to open your HPFS file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the HPFS file to some extent.
As in the case of Notepad, you can also use the data archiving program. Open Winrar or Winzip and try to unpack your file. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. If you don't know what type of HPFS file is, learn more about HPFS file extension.
