How to view LEX file?

Sometimes you just need to see what is in the LEX file, without having to perform more complicated operations. In this case, it is enough that you use the so-called LEX Viewer. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the LEX file. To view the content of the LEX file, select one of the available options:

Software supporting LEX files

Our LEX Viewer did not live up to what I expected? Choose something else One of them is to use software that works with the LEX file. Here are some sample programs that can help you. By choosing the option to install dedicated software, you will also be able to e.g. edit the LEX file and sometimes even convert the LEX file.

What are the pros and cons of such a solution?

The first important thing is that you will need to download and install a dedicated application that supports the LEX format on your device. In this situation, unfortunately, you cannot see the LEX file online. This solution is more problematic, but also allows for more processing options for the LEX file. Meet a few applications designed to work with LEX and go to the full list - LEX File Opener

Other ways to view the LEX file

If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the LEX file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. A lot of file formats contain plain text data or packed data. In this case, you can try to open your LEX file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the LEX file to some extent.

The second attempt may be with a data archiving program. Open Winrar or Winzip and try to unpack your file. If our theory proves to be correct, you should see the tree of files contained in the archive. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the LEX file extension.
