If you still cannot see the contents of the RVT file, but also don't see the need to install dedicated software, then there are other solutions. A large proportion of the data formats are simply archives or plain text files. In this case, you can try to open your RVT file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension RVT.

The second attempt may be with a data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of.
