Sometimes you just need to see what is in the SIT file, without having to perform more complicated operations. Then do not install dedicated software and use tools such as SIT Viewer. Such a program allows us only to display the contents of the SIT file. To view the content of the SIT file you can use several options:
Our SIT Viewer did not live up to what I expected? Choose something else For starters, we suggest installing software that supports SIT files You can try to open your SIT file with one of these applications. By using the dedicated software you will have more options, e.g. editing the SIT file or converting the SIT file to a different file format.
The first important thing is that you will need to download and install a dedicated application that supports the SIT format on your device. In this case, it is not possible to view the SIT file online. This solution is more problematic, but also allows for more processing options for the SIT file. You can find some examples of dedicated software below, and the full list is here SIT File Opener
If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the SIT file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. Many file types are simply text files or data archives. If this is the case, you can try to preview the contents of SIT file with "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension SIT.
The second way is to use a data archiving program. Open Winrar or Winzip and try to unpack your file. If your SIT file belongs to the archived files category, you will see a list of files inside the archive. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the SIT file extension.
