Sometimes you just need to see what is in the SRPM file, without having to perform more complicated operations. Then the tools called SRPM Viewer come in handy. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the SRPM file. To view the content of the SRPM file, select one of the available options:
Our SRPM Viewer did not live up to what I expected? Choose something else One of them is to use software that works with the SRPM file. Below are some examples of verified applications. By choosing the option to install dedicated software, you will also be able to e.g. edit the SRPM file and sometimes even convert the SRPM file.
First of all, you need to know that you need to install specific software that supports SRPM files on your computer. In this case, it is not possible to view the SRPM file online. Here you will need more time to use this solution, but you will also have more options. Below you will find a list of example applications that are dedicated to working with the SRPM file - for the full list go to SRPM File Opener
If you still cannot see the contents of the SRPM file, but also don't see the need to install dedicated software, then there are other solutions. Many file types are simply text files or data archives. In this case, you can try to open your SRPM file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension SRPM.
As in the case of Notepad, you can also use the data archiving program. Check if you can open your file with eg Winrar. If your SRPM file belongs to the archived files category, you will see a list of files inside the archive. Go to the information page about the SRPM file extension. to see what kind of data it contains.
