A large proportion of the data formats are simply archives or plain text files. In this case, you can try to open your STB file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". This solution does not guarantee that the problem will be solved, but it will often allow you to view the data in the STB file to some extent.

The second attempt may be with a data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of.
