If you still cannot see the contents of the STM file, but also don't see the need to install dedicated software, then there are other solutions. Many file types are simply text files or data archives. In this case, you can try to open your STM file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension STM.
