If you still cannot see the contents of the WDI file, but also don't see the need to install dedicated software, then there are other solutions. A large proportion of the data formats are simply archives or plain text files. In this case, it is likely that you will be able to view the contents of WDI with a normal "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the WDI file to some extent.
