If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the XBRL file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. Many file types are simply text files or data archives. In this case, you can try to open your XBRL file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the XBRL file to some extent.
