Software supporting BFS files

If our BFS Viewer Online did not help you, you have a few more options. One of them is to use software that works with the BFS file. You can try to open your BFS file with one of these applications. By choosing the option to install dedicated software, you will also be able to e.g. edit the BFS file and sometimes even convert the BFS file.

Advantages and disadvantages of dedicated software

First of all, you need to know that you need to install specific software that supports BFS files on your computer. Unfortunately, it is not possible to see the BFS file online in this case. If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the BFS file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. A large proportion of the data formats are simply archives or plain text files. In this case, you can try to open your BFS file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the BFS file to some extent.

The second attempt may be with a data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If our theory proves to be correct, you should see the tree of files contained in the archive.
