It often happens that you only need to preview the contents of the CEX file, without the need to edit or process the data contained in it. In this case, it is enough that you use the so-called CEX Viewer. Such a program allows us only to display the contents of the CEX file. To view the content of the CEX file, select one of the available options:

By using the dedicated software you will have more options, e.g. editing the CEX file or converting the CEX file to a different file format.
First of all, you need to know that you need to install specific software that supports CEX files on your computer. In this case, it is not possible to view the CEX file online. You haven't seen the content of your CEX file yet and you don't need additional software? Try other options. A lot of file formats contain plain text data or packed data. In this case, you can try to open your CEX file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the CEX file to some extent.
As in the case of Notepad, you can also use the data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. If you don't know what type of CEX file is, learn more about CEX file extension.
