Other ways to view the CI file

If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the CI file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. Many file types are simply text files or data archives. In this case, it is likely that you will be able to view the contents of CI with a normal "Notepad". This does not guarantee success, but in most cases it will allow you to see the contents of the CI file to some extent.

As in the case of Notepad, you can also use the data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. Go to the information page about the CI file extension. to see what kind of data it contains.
