Other ways to view the CML file

If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the CML file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. Many file types are simply text files or data archives. In this case, it is likely that you will be able to view the contents of CML with a normal "Notepad". This solution does not guarantee that the problem will be solved, but it will often allow you to view the data in the CML file to some extent.

As in the case of Notepad, you can also use the data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. If you don't know what type of CML file is, learn more about CML file extension.
