How to view CTRL file?

It often happens that you only need to preview the contents of the CTRL file, without the need to edit or process the data contained in it. Then do not install dedicated software and use tools such as CTRL Viewer. This type of tool is nothing more than a program or an online application that allows you to easily view the content of the data stored in the CTRL file. To view the content of the CTRL file, select one of the available options:

Programs that support CTRL file extension

CTRL viewer did not handle your file? Take advantage of other options One of them is to use software that works with the CTRL file. Here are some sample programs that can help you. By using the dedicated software you will have more options, e.g. editing the CTRL file or converting the CTRL file to a different file format.

Advantages and disadvantages of this solution

Note, however, that this solution requires you to download and install the software dedicated to handling the CTRL file on your device. In this case, it is not possible to view the CTRL file online. This method is more complicated, but it offers more possibilities for working with the CTRL file. You can find some examples of dedicated software below, and the full list is here CTRL File Opener

Other ways to view the CTRL file

If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the CTRL file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. A lot of file formats contain plain text data or packed data. If this is the case, you can try to preview the contents of CTRL file with "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension CTRL.

The second way is to use a data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of. To get information about what kind of data it is, go to the subpage with information about the CTRL file extension.
