By using the dedicated software you will have more options, e.g. editing the ROS file or converting the ROS file to a different file format.

Advantages and disadvantages of dedicated software

The first important thing is that you will need to download and install a dedicated application that supports the ROS format on your device. In this case, it is not possible to view the ROS file online. This method is more complicated, but it offers more possibilities for working with the ROS file. Other possibilities to view the contents of the ROS file

If you haven't been able to preview the contents of the ROS file yet, or you don't want to install any dedicated programming to handle these files, you can try something else. A lot of file formats contain plain text data or packed data. In this case, you can try to open your ROS file with the simplest text editor, for example with "Notepad". I can at least to some extent let you see the contents of the file with the extension ROS.

The second attempt may be with a data archiving program. Try to open your file with e.g. Winrar or Winzip. If the file is a data archive, you should see what individual files it consists of.
